THE FARM

     

Of high priority to Ocalafornia is our commitment to environmental and financial sustainability, thus we are working towards a continuous-harvesting farm, where different species of fruiting trees, shrubs, vegetables and livestock are growing and maturing throughout the year. We select the most outstanding cultivars and species that thrive in this region, that complement one another on the pallet and the planting, nurturing and harvesting schedule.

Ocalafornia has an orange grove under improvement, with property allocated to other fruits such as blueberries, raspberries,cherries and apricots,while for the long-term timber and nuts from Black Walnut trees and Oak and Pine plantings. Growing vegetables for farm and kitchen is also in the works, including tomatoes, watermelon, peas and squash, as well as herbs such as basil, cilantro, mint, parsley, rosemary andsage. Visitors can learn and participate in thisemerging varied, year-around, sustainable and productive farm.
